Thread: Weighing yourself

Better, and safer, to install the scale above the spreader bar (between the lift motor and the spreader bar).

After a pleural effusion where 3.5litres of fluid was drained from my chest I bought these which sit between spreader and sling. Pre weigh sling and clothes I'll be wearing then weigh me as I get transferred to chair. I now should be able to spot any quick weight gain which might indicate that I have another pleural effusion as 3.5 litres of fluid = 3.5kg, metric makes life a lot easier

I got weighed on a hospital bed. Turns out I weigh a lot less than I thought I did

Make the best out of today because yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come. Nobody knows that better than those of us that have almost died from spinal cord injury.

    I use a LilyPad scale.
