Time to get your flu shot

It is time to get your annual flu shot if you live in the northern hemisphere. This is critical for people with SCI and those over the age of 65, who should get the new high dose (HD) flu vaccine starting this year. Here is some information from the CDC:

People with SCI and other forms of paralysis are included in the CDC list of those most at risk for developing complications if they have the flu, so need to be especially careful to get their shots every year, and to have any caregivers also get their shots:

I got mine...have you had yours?

We both got ours on Thursday. And I got my shingles vaccine at my last doctor's appointment a few months back.
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."
