    Question VMI vs Braun

Got a new minivan in consideration. I've got dealers handling Braun and VMI within driving distance. I'm not going to be driving. I'll probably for with a fold out ramp. Anyone have a reason to favor one over the other?

It may be more important to determine which dealer has a better reputation for dealing with problems if they occur, and which offers the better price.

I have had 2 vans with fold out ramps, and they were both really noisy. I now have a VMI in-floor ramp, and it sometimes rattles on a really bumpy road, but I rarely notice it.

See which one you fit into better.

What kind of van are you going to get Honda, Toyota or Dodge?

Your 2005 Toyota wheelchair van was build by IMS/Braun.

VMI didn't build Toyota conversions in 2005

Braun does not and has never owned VMI.

I'm trading my 2010 Honda Odyssey VMI Northstar EX-L in for a 2014 Toyota Sienna XLE VMI Northstar. Should be here in a couple of weeks. Always loved VMI.

You are absolutely correct. After two weeks of dealing with manic salesmen at 3 mobility businesses in the area my brain is muddled. I interchanged VMI and IMS.

I had a 2012 Braun Honda and a 2013 VMI Honda. liked the Brauns fit and finish better, loved that they retained the spare tire.

The In floor VMI is quieter and love the ramp. The VMI had a few problems but the company is wonderful about working with you.

If you have a concern VMI will talk with an end user, Braun you are only allowed to talk to dealers, at least that has been my experience.
