Thread: Arm FES Ergometer

    Question Arm FES Ergometer

After several lengthy infections, I have lost some muscle mass in my quad arms and looking to rebuild.

I'm pushing my manual assist chair is much as possible, however that builds endurance and lean muscle but no bulk. Does anyone here have suggestions on using FES with a particular Ergometer? Thank you in advance,
    Chaz

Have you looked into a FES hand bike? Or support worker(caregiver) assisted ergometer sessions?

If you have at least a grade 3 strength in the muscles you are concerned with, you can use resistive exercise such as weights, a regular arm ergometer, or other types of resistive active exercise. If you muscles are less than a 3, then FES may get them up to a 3 strength so you can then do resistive exercises.
