Thread: Flying question?

    Flying question?

Have any quads flown seated on a low profile J-2 (approx. 3" high) cushion or only on the gel pad? I'm a C 5/6 quad about to be on a plane for 8-10 hours and concerned about the seating pressure. I'm 5' 10" and do not want my head to be above the seat back so I am wondering whether I should sit on the cushion, the gel or a piece of Geo-Matt foam.

Hi, i'm 5' 8" and i use my air cushion when i travel long distances without problems. It's the same high than yours, and my head still rests on the head seat. I also use a travel pillow for my neck to be more comfortable and be able to sleep. I also have to push up often to relieve pressure.

I bought a 2-3" memory foam cushion just for flying. A lot cheaper and works great. For extra padding I use the gel pack off me cushion to put under the memory foam. That's for long flights. A 1" foam seat back is good too. I'm 6'3" and my head doesn't stick above the seat.
