Vetericyn sale, $25.99 (if you buy 2 or more) for the 16oz bottle of VF

Best price I've seen yet, from a reputable vendor:

    http://www.calvetsupply.com/category...d=vetericyn+vf

Shipping is free if you spend $59 or more.

Be careful. I just got some from Allivet that expires in 5 months.

How many bladder flushes do you get with a 16 oz bottle? Thanks

Your mileage may vary. It all depends on how much Vetericyn you decide to use. At 60cc per instillation or flush, you will get almost 8 applications from a 16oz bottle of Vetericyn. I figure about 473cc per 16oz bottle, divided by the number of cc you use per instillation.

    All the best,

60cc? I don't think my bladder could hold that much.

I was just using 60cc as an example because that is an amount that I read many people use. In my case, I use 20cc Vetericyn VF and 10cc saline, so I get almost 3 times more instillations from a bottle of Vetericyn than someone who uses 60cc.

Ok, I can handle that. I'm going to give it a shot. Thanks for the info

I use 20 ml 3 times a week. That would be 2 oz. per week which is 8 weeks per bottle. You may find you need more or less but this is a simple way to estimate. I always buy four bottles so I get free shipping. If I only used Vetericyn VF for the bladder, one order would last me about 32 weeks. I also use it for skin blistering (heal not prevent), cuts, pressure ulcers, shearing and anything else that damages or irritates the skin.

    Good luck.

After reading my post and Millard's post, it should be quite apparent that usage of Vetericyn or Vetericyn VF varies greatly from individual to individual. You have got to find what works for YOU! That is key. Some of us use Vetericyn instillations with intermittent catheterization, some with indwelling urethral foley catheters and some with suprapubic catheters. And within the parameters of the kinds of bladder management we use there are variations. What works for anyone of us may not work for anyone else. For now, we are all on our own to find what works for ourselves.

    All the best,
    GJ
