Thread: home movie editor

    Thumbs down home movie editor

    does anyone know of a free movie editor. i need it to mute some f'in audio portions, get it.
    i downloaded microsoft movie maker for windows 7 but there is no audio editor.
    Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.

    I use avs video editor. It suits my needs, its simple to use and it is free. It does have audio editing. It might be worth a try for you.

    ETA: Sorry, I just went to the homepage and noticed that it isn't free anymore.

    Avidemux is a free video editor. Also, you can edit separately the audio part using Audacity and then re-encoding the audio using Movie maker.

    If you have to do this job just once or for a short period of time, try using the trial version of a commercial product. I was using Camtasia.
