Cruciferous vegetables for controlling abdominal fat

I read that eating cruciferous vegetables helps decrease abdominal fat. The hormone cortisol facilitates weight gain in the abdomen. I don?t know if cruciferous vegetables help by decreasing cortisol or some other way, but I think it might help me. While I still have a little quad pouch when I sit up, there?s not a lot of fat there, and I eat a lot of cauliflower along with my chips and ice cream.

Has asnyone other suggestions besides cauliflower and broccoli?

Cruciferous vegetables can be a great source of fiber too, but also can cause major intestinal gas for some, so be cautious and add them to your diet gradually. Here is a list:

    • Arugula
    • Bok choy
    • Broccoli
    • Brussels sprouts
    • Cabbage
    • Cauliflower
    • Chinese cabbage
    • Collard greens
    • Daikon radish
    • Horseradish
    • Kale
    • Kohlrabi
    • Land cress
    • Mustard greens
    • Radish
    • Rutabaga
    • Shepherd's purse
    • Turnip
    • Watercress
