Hamstring lenghtening surgery for walking quads question

To Dr Young, I briefly talked to dr david chen here in chicago and he said i would be a good candidate for this type of surgery to improve gait.. after 22 years of really restrictive hamstrings, are yyou aware of other sci's having this done and are there specialists who do this procedure thank you

Have you tried physical therapy? Check out Graston Technique.

to make a long story short, after 22 years of physical therapy andr very high intense spasticty (been on baclofen pump since 95) and many falls ,,,it's time at least for me to seek out this alternative to improve gait and balance to walk on this planet we call earth

It is a big surgery. You may find that pediatric orthopedic surgeons have the most experience as this procedure is often done for children with CP. I would depend upon Dr. Chen to refer you to a good surgeon for this.

Interesting, I've never heard of a hamstring lengthening surgery before.
