    Now how did this happen

So the controls have been working just fine for me until after one use I went to remove the controls and discovered the bar on the accelerator clamp had bent quite significantly. I don't even know how this happened. All I did was slip the clamp under the pedal and tighten it like I always do. Anyways I contacted the seller I bought them from and I'll report back with what they say.

Looks like you have on hell of a grip there to me, or there was something on top of the peddle.

Contoured to fit, is it too loose now?
I have had periodic paralysis all my life. I lost my ability to walk in 2011 beginning with a spinal block, which was used for a hip fracture caused by periodic paralysis.

Perhaps less Hulk-like grip when tightening that down?

It seems most likely that tightening the bolt too much caused it. If you use a big wrench you can put a lot of force on the bolt without realizing it.

I can deflect the lower cross-piece grabbing the pedal just hand-tightening the big plastic star nuts on my controls. Got to know when to stop cranking. Your control still looks functional. Look for stress marks indicating metal fatigue.

No wrench you just tighten by hand

It's still functional but I would think over time it would just get looser and looser. I wish the accelerator clamp was made the same way the brake clamp was. It's way more solid.
