Increase in nerve pain since getting pneumonia

I have had a severe increase in my neuropathic pain since getting pneumonia. The dr upped my fentanyl patch from 75 to 100mcg and I take 10mg valium 3x /day and the more the pneumonia gets better, the pain gets worse. It's all over chest down but is more intense in my thighs, tops of my feet and soles of my feet.

I've been hospitalized the entire time.. 2 weeks.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Jason

Are you taking antibiotics for the pneumonia?

I was going to suggest looking into www.cpnhelp.org but with your recent injuries, a bacterial die off seems unlikely, unless you picked up something in the hospital.
