    Probiotics

I noticed a lot of people here saying they take probiotics. I did some shopping around and found many to choose from. So which are the best and what benefits can I expect?

I choose the ones with 5 diff cultures. They keep your digestive system regular, in terms of supplying good bacteria that flourish in your intestines and keep you from getting loose stool and/or constipated.

I always double up on them when taking abx, but I also take one every other day along with my vitamin. You will notice the difference in a week or so, at least I did.

Basically it keeps your gut's good flora thriving and doing its thing.

After trying several kinds, I have had best results with Garden of Life Primal Defense Ultra. It has 13 cultures included. I take 3 pills a day, and 6 a day when taking antibiotic and for a week or so after.

Tried probiotics at different times in my life, really strong ones, and I got to say I never really noticed any difference at all, but maybe you will. I eat yogurt so maybe I just don't need them.

I eat yogurt too but it gives me a lot of gas. I found a good deal on Amazon for the Garden of Life Primal Defense Ultra so I'll give it a try and see if it helps. Thanks everyone.

Most commercially available yogurt has been pasturized, and has no probiotic bacteria in it. If you want to try the use of yogurt for this purpose, be sure you get one that has "live culture" or one where probiotic bacteria have been added back to the yogurt after pasturization.
