Aftermarket backrest on a permobile c300

I have a permobile C300 with the corpus seating system on it, I received this wheelchair in December 2010.

It currently has the standard back rest and stealth flip out trunk laterals.

I would like to switch this out for an aftermarket backrest that is shorter and has better trunk support (something contoured) I currently have a matrix deep contour on my manual chair. Is this something I could switch to use on the power chair? Obviously, needing new mounting hardware for the permobile to keep the mounting hardware on my manual chair so that way I can switch it back and forth. Or I could possibly swing to buy another backrest for used exclusively on my powerchair.

I now really wish I had the corpus 3G seating system on my c300 because I know it would be much easier on that chair.

Thanks in advance for all the help.

    Bump.

Is this even a feasible idea?

Should be. I got my c300 from the DME with a jay2 back 7 or so years ago. I ordered it that way, so your frame may need adapting.

I suggest sending a message to SCI__OTR as he is an OT at a VA SCI Center in Cleveland he does a lot of seating adaptions for the Veterans there. I don't know if you've ever seen the pictures that he posts here on Care Cure of the adaptations he does on power chairs. He does a great job doing so. In fact he has done it on a PERMOBILC - 300 power chair for a fellow Veteran.
Hope this info helps you. Best of Luck to you. Let me know how you made out.
