My Braun Chair Topper is sucking juice from car battery

And the battery dies about every other day.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Have you had the battery checked to see if it will hold a charge?

Do you know with certainty that it's the chair topper? When I first got my car it was dying every other day... completely dying. I initially thought it was the chair topper, but it turned out my backup camera had been hooked up wrong. Even after the mechanic discovered what the trouble was, he recommended that I use the chair topper with the car running so as not to put any unnecessary strain on the battery.

Do you know if there is a cutoff switch? This cuts power to unit when say the door is closed. I had an issue with the cutoff switch not aligned properly so it kept supplying power when the vehicle was off. I would come out to my truck in the morning to a dead battery.

If there is a cutoff switch (usually a magnetized switch) make sure its aligned properly. There should be a spot where the 2 pieces almost contact each other. I used a piece of play dough and placed it over the switch and then closed the door. Then use that to see where the switch needs adjusting whether it be up down left right.

This is all assuming that there is a cutoff switch installed. I hope it helps and good luck.

My regular car mechanic thoroughly tested the battery connections, alternator, etc. and suggested the problem lies in the Chair Topper. I plan to take the car to an adapted driving specialist next week.

Did he confirm there is a amp draw with and without the Braun Chair Topper connected to the battery?

    It's easy enough to test.

The Cadillac dealer finally found the solution.

The battery was for a lower-tier GM car, not a Caddy. A new, stronger battery solved the enigma.
