    Unhappy Brain abscess surgery

    Hello Iam 28 yrs old and just had brain surgery to remove an abscess in December and also have another abscess at the back of the brain all due to a sinus infection and I also have a heart condition clalled TGA. Since December 20 the day I was let go home I have been on pain med called hydromorphone 2mg for my constant headaches that I'm having still they can last from 1 hour to all day my question is I'd like to switch up my pills as there starting not to work for me I did get switched once to hydromorphone cotin a time released pill that didn't work any who how can I get my dr to switch it for me as I'm new to all of this and pretty scared of what might happen as I could be going for another brain surgery near the
    Months end thanks for your help

    Consider pain management doctor visit

    Narcotics (what you are getting) are effective for a few weeks
    Three months is longer than you can expect them to help
    You may not be able to get off the narcotics until your underlying problems (medical) have ended - healed
