Mouse Keys in Windows 8 Metro?

I just bought a new laptop with Windows 8. I've noticed that the Mouse Keys accessibility feature does not work in the Windows 8 Metro. You can move the mouse cursor around but you cannot click, drag, or copy and paste. The Mouse Keys is how I use my computer. I am taking it back. I just ordered one of the last remaining laptops on the Best Buy website that still has Windows 7. Has anyone else noticed this and has a solution for it? If not, I am staying with Windows 7.

You are right to return the defective product. There is no reason why computers should be exempt from the requirements of fitness for purpose. See old, but evergreen thread:--
