new movement Dr. Wise please comment

my 14 yo son 14 weeks post had 4 days ago the ability to move his left big toe for the first time. He is a c5, proabably Asia B , now he can.t for the last 2 days.. My question is will this come back? Also I am curious if this was a spasm, he did the voluntary for 3 times the first night and twice the second night on command.. but when you touch his soles of his feet the toe moves... Can you shed some light on this? thanks

okwjoe, recovery of function is often sporadic at the beginning. What you describe suggest that he has some connections and this sounds like the beginning of recovery. I hope that this continues. Wise.
