Pics of the landing, and the chair afterward, are the real money shots!

    How'd it turn out?

Is Dude still alive? Chair not in need of any service?

I saw a video the other day of a guy parachuting in his wheelchair and the landing was rough! It looked like his angle would let him just wheel to a stop but his rear wheels hit the ground, did a little bounce then the footplate dug into the ground making him nose dive slamming the guys face right into the ground.

Are they strapped to the chair or just holding on to it?

If this looks like fun, go ahead. I have a friend who "earned" his wheels parachuting on his last jump. I never knew him as an ab.
I have had periodic paralysis all my life. I lost my ability to walk in 2011 beginning with a spinal block, which was used for a hip fracture caused by periodic paralysis.

Me too. One of the first guys I met, post SCI, was another guy in a chair because of a sky diving accident.

Maybe I just don't have much left prove, but I'm just not a para trying to become a quad.

Then again, maybe I'm just gettin' old.

    I've got 43 jumps, all pre-injury.

The nose-dive could have been prevented with a FreeWheel.

Looks like he's jumping tailgate (out the back cargo ramp) so no worries about the air stream twisting a chair during the exit.

Something like Bodypoint's HipGrip would hold the jumper to the chair just fine.

The thing that worries me the most about jumping with a chair would be spinal compression on a hard landing. It looks like he has a full suspension chair with a huge compression cylinder.

He does have great form - feet and knees together!

And for those who ask why anyone would jump out of a perfectly good airplane, I real can't answer. I never have. Just lots of Air Force planes.

    Sure you are getting old.
I would like to do it, i don`t think you could have any problem with a suspension chair and a good landing.
Nothing to do the age there, adrenaline junkie or not, there is the question
