    do you know the name of the material/canvas which quads use to learn transfers

    I don't know it's name, that's why I'm asking.

    It is a material which has very low friction proprieties. I've used it between me and the transfer board or between me and the bed.

    Satin sheets are what some of us use to make moving around in bed or other sliding easier. The less costly versions are mostly polyester or nylon. There is a high end version made of silk.
