    apple pie

    i love sweets but with sci its the battle to keep wt down

    i have learned finaaly to make my own pie crust and apple pie with fake sugar and fake butter not bad it will not win any awards but it ttastes decent and its satifyies my sweet tooth

    That is the advantage of home cooking. You have control over the ingredients. My wife is the baker here and often reduces the sugar called for in recipes to about half. They are still sweet enough for us. She has some recipes from our parents and grand parents and they have considerably less sugar than newer recipes. As for pie crust though, they call for real lard. lol

    i use lard for pie crust and bisquits but fake butter for the apples lol

    bisquits still 50/50 its hard with quad hand but......

    You might want to consider cutting out the crust if you are trying to cut calories (and carbs). Consider making apple crisp instead, with old fashioned oats and baking or brown sugar substitute.

    i love apple crisp and cherry crisp i made that the other night and froze it. i use the fake sugar and fake butter with flour and oats its yummy on the tummy

    I make crisp out of everything - you don't even need the flour (or baking powder) for the topping, just oats, butter, and a sweetener. And walnuts, if you like them.

    love walnuts but we have like 700 plus pecan trees so we use pecan love them.

    Wow. What do you do with all the pecans? Do you sell them?

    yes we did sold the farm and they had a bummer crop this yr

    Now a days these sugars are damaging our health.so,every one is becoming conscious about the food and its ingredients let's use less sugar and preserve our health!!
