Rubberised resting hand splints as push mitts

My orthsist wants to do custom resting hand splints with rubber where they hit the wheel so I can push my standard chair/s.Any1 had these?

No, but I put tire patches on my gloves to help push. Works well when you push, tries to wank your arms off when you try to stop.

What type of pushrim coating would work best? The orthotist wants rubber coated. The OT doesn't know and wants ME to make the choice and I can't trial coating according to the OT
