Thanks for the kind words everybody. I was wondering if I got too wordy and have people pass, guess the pics helped.

Canuck - that very well could be, I did not check on anything ahead of time. Since I was hurting like hell, it was a good excuse not to do anything.

November - thanks for the tip, we'll make Oregon sometime.

Thank you so much for sharing the great pictures. I would have loved to have taken a ride in that plane! I've only ever been in a helicopter. We went sight seeing twice that way and it's awesome to see the sights from above!

    Thanks

McDuff...WOW!!!! Awesome pixs awesome details. Thank you so much for all of this info...you have increased my comfort level with the whole concept of
W/C cruising. The Seattle write up was great too.
I am so ready to book a cruise.

Thanks again for taking time to share.

Great trip report. My wife and I have been to Alaska a couple of times. First was a cruise similar to yours. You pics are great but as you know, cannot do Alaska justice. Alaska is awesome.

Smokymtn - yeah the plane was really cool, landing and taking off on water was so smooth it was amazing. 'Course you need calm water...

Aspen - Hah, I was thinking you better show up after gigging me for the report! j/k Glad you liked it.

I suggest anyone who's thinking cruising, to study the ship deck plans of your possibles, they all show where the h/c cabins are, and look for where everything else is located. For me, only 1 restaurant was in the back part of the ship, everything else was middle to front, and added up to a boatload(pun intended) of wheeling. A midships cabin would have worked better. Oh well, it was a great cabin.

Fromnwmont - We are asking ourselves if we'd do it again, not sure. We have never been "schedule" people, even before my sci, it's worse now. Everything on a cruise is scheduled, it has to be to run correctly, and kind of rubs us a little wrong. Probably try something else next time.

My395 - Alaska is cool, thanks.

McDuff: with you 100% on the scheduled activity etc. We like to play it by ear, much less stress for us that way eat when we want, play when we want last trip we didn't even make motel reservations in advance drove until tired then used google app on phone to find local motel... Not for everyone and you risk not finding room until next town and most of our family plans every minute months in advance!! Great write up & not to lengthy for me love the photos..

Thank you so much for posting these McDuff. I am going on an Alaskan cruise for my 10 year anniversary next year. My husband is from Alaska and used to take those planes out to go fishing and hunting. I hope we can do the plane also.

P.S. I live in the DFW area also.
