Leverage Against Leasing Office about Poor Parking

There are four handicapped people and three handicap spots in my apartment building's parking lot. I would guess there are about 90 spots total, so that is about 3.3% are marked handicapped.

I have broached it with them, but only once, and in passing. I have been parking right on the stripe in other spots and so far have never been trapped by another car being too close. With winter coming, I really want a couple more designated spots.

I'll take it to them in a more formal manner, but what can I use if I get pushback?
