    sore

I posted on here in june about the same sore !!! It is right in my ass crack. It has not gotten any worse or any better. It just will not go and with hunting season around the corner I need it to be gone. I try and stay off my ass when i am not in my chair but I am pretty active so I am in my chair alot. Another member mentoined spraying vertricyn & I tried but it still will not go away. I also am wearing a hyrocolloid dressing with siver sulfadiaziazine cream changing it daily. Any other suggestions would be appreciated thanks. I dont think my uncles will like to tend to my wound in my ass crack in hunt camp HAHA

Get it checked for osteo. How is the drainage? If it's a lot, that's a good indicator of osteo (bone infection). It's so easy there at the coccyx because the skin is so close to bone and is the number one spot for a pressure sore.

I had to have a flap to close mine at age 15 .. I'm almost 40 now and just this year had to start moisturizing my buttocks as age tends to dry out the skin (TMI? lol)

See a wound specialist! You're in Michigan and probably have access to RIM?

Sorry smashms ... I totally get it. Pressure wounds suck ... have another myself at the place where the curve of the bum meets my right leg ... difficult to bandage as well. My male nurse is so cool ... I was more embarrassed than he!

Slamming vitamins and supplements since I'm back to work. Need to order a new cushion and perhaps a Jay back (or something similar) as well.

Our needs change as we age, dammit.

No wonder it's not healing -- you're not giving it a chance. The only way you're going to get this thing healed is to bite the bullet and stay off of it.
