Thread: Enemas

I have gastroparesis due to my C4-5 injury so I have a low fiber low fat diet I have to live with. Oh how I miss the pizzas burgers and fruits.

In past few weeks I have been having trouble having a soft bm. I have been taking a warm water enema for relief. It is safe to take daily?

I forgot to add I also have diverticula/diverticulosis disease also. Just wondering if it is safe to use the enema.

If you are emptying then stool doesn't have to be soft but maybe you should change to enememz or suppository or more stool softeners or something. If you keep doing enemas you may not be able to defecate without them. Tthat is why we save fleets or any other enema for when you haven't had a good movement.
