    Are the chassis on power chairs metal or plastic? If they're plastic (my assumption), then Scott's guess about cost effectiveness is the likely explanation.

    i'd guess 40 plastic 60 metal

    on my last one we did a crappy attempt at a camo paint over and it did help some.

    you do get a choice of color but that covers less than 10 percent of chair

    i am afraid it might be cost

    would love to go to a production plant

    Sweet chair toto. Looks like it would be a fairly good match for my car! Different strokes for different folks. Im not sure why black is the predominant upholstery color...probably cause it doesn't show stains.
