Amtrak from NY to Florida was great

I just returned from vacationing in Florida with my family on Amtrak and it was great. This was my first time traveling long distance and did not know what to expect but to my surprise I enjoyed it. I had a sleeper car and that came with a attendent which catered to your needs (not your personal needs) who was very nice. I had the handicapped sleeper but it is best to store your chair in the baggage car unless it folds otherwise it will limit your space in the room. It was a great trip going and coming from Florida and I would definately travel that way again.

More info please!!! Were you able to move around the cabin? Were you stuck in your compartment the whole time?

Without my chair in the room it gave more space, if I had keep my chair in the room I would not have been able to move around in the chair at all. The chair would have blocked the door to the bathroom and the door to go out of.

No you are not stuck in your compartment if you are able to walk otherwise the chair would not go from car to car.

Do you have photos of your sleeper cabin?
