Too bad it tops out at only 25 mph in the US (as do all "neighborhood vehicles" by regulation).

I think it's a great idea, especially for those that only need to get around town. Any idea about the price?
Partner of an incredible stroke survivor. Limitations: hemiparesis and neglect (functional paralysis and complete lack of awareness on one side). Equipment: TiLite ZRA 2 and 2GX, Spinergy ZX-1, RioMobility Firefly. Knowledge: relative newbie for high-level equipment (2012), but willing to try to help others who are new with similar limitations (definitely not a guru, but inquisitive).
I hope they have a ramp option for the back, I'd hate to depend on all curbs being the same height. Then there's places that have no curb.
The 25 mph thing is hard to take too. But maybe that's just us in the US.

You enter the Kenguru on an automatically lowering ramp, which comes down as the back door opens at the press of the key.

Put the key in the ignition switch and the back door shuts lifting the ramp at the same time. The Kenguru will not start until the wheelchair is in a correct locking position and the door has been fully closed

Why would you WANT to go faster than 25mph in that thing?
It is kinda neat.
At that point it doesn't matter if you're going 45 or the other guy. You're toast either way in an accident, so you might as well get to your destination faster. I saw something on TV several weeks ago where FL retirement communities are driving around in miniature cars, basically glorified golf carts. I think this is along the same principle. This probably wouldn't be a wise choice for most parts of the U.S.
On a side note, where do you put your groceries?
