Founder of XCell stem cell clinic accused of stealing to fund lavish lifestyle

The founder of the XCell-Center, a German stem cell clinic that closed after a Sunday Telegraph investigation, has been accused of embezzling funds to fund a lavish lifestyle.

He was the scientist behind Europe’s largest stem cell clinic, a centre that promised miracle treatments for incurable illnesses from Parkinson’s disease to cerebral palsy.

Except that the XCell-Center, founded and run by Dr Cornelis Kleinbloesem, was charging patients — many of them British — tens of thousands of pounds for treatments that were clinically unproven and almost certainly did not work.

The clinic, in Düsseldorf in Germany, was closed by the authorities last year following an investigation into its practices by The Sunday Telegraph that found that a child died after being injected in the brain with stem cells.

The closure of X-Cell did not seem to put Dr Kleinbloesem off his stride. He opened another clinic this year, this time in Beirut, Lebanon, where it escapes the eyes of Europe’s regulators.

Dr Kleinbloesem appears to be thriving, according to The Sunday Telegraph’s latest inquiries. He owns a large house in one of Germany’s most expensive neighbourhoods that is popular with elite footballers, he drives a Porsche and his wife a BMW, and he also owns a motorised yacht that cost at least £320,000.

Oh no!!!!!... Kleinbloesem here in the USA? This is terrible news. I wish Kleinbloesem hadn't come to the America. People will be scammed of their life savings by the guy and then he'll probably sneak away before we know who he has scammed!

Kleinbloesem must feel the need to come here for hunting people to prey on in order to fund that lavish lifestyle? He knows exactly where to locate his prey and to entice them with false promises and phony baloney. Kleinbloesem should have stayed in Beirut, Lebanon. (At least people would be thinking twice and wondering why a cure master fraud was located in such a location.)There is no cure to be found in the rubble of a war torn Lebanon.

Thank goodness there are vigilant people like you to keep watch and let us know that Dr Cornelis Kleinbloesem has been seen in America! Be on the lookout for him. The International Criminal Police Organization, (known as INTERPOL), is an intergovernmental organization facilitating international police cooperation. Who knows, maybe they will be the ones on his trail shortly wanting to discuss his "activities". I thought all the mess had ended with Kleinbloesem a long time ago! I have to wonder where he was going to try to send the person for treatment? Did he get that far into his sales pitch? Is the miracle injection priced in line with a new BMW, yacht or Porsche?
