    I'm not on Facebook either, so I also thank you for this update. Am hoping the blood transfusion starts to clear the decks soon and that Todd will make a strong turnaround.

    On what basis are you concluding that he has DIC ( a potentially life-threatening coagulation disorder)?

    From the sepsis? Not uncommon but once infection treated and
    DIC should resolve and be ok.

    On the basis of him having septic shock and requiring transfusions. By far the most common scenario is DIC, unfortunately.
