Thread: Blood and Cathing

  1. #11
I had blood and clots for the first time in 25 years of cathing a few months ago. I was using Bard touchless catheters at work and the doc thought that i may had forced the catheter in causing the issue. Thankfully it cleared up the next time I straight cath'd. Since then I have given up cathing with the Bard touchless. With those catheters being inside the plastic collection bag I had a harder time telling if I was forcing the catheter in. I also can view it better when inserting.

Scared me seeing the blood though. Hope it is nothing serious Le Type Fran├žais.

Todd is the hospital and not doing so well. His uti went septic and he's on iv and ventilator. I know he's going to be ok but he needs your good thoughts right now. Thanks

Very scary! I hope there's a quick turn around and Todd is back home soon.
