Question What to do with my old powerchair?

Are there any places to donate a power chair?

I would call your local United Way and ask if there are any disability organization if your area who have a "loan locker" they might would take it as a donation. Or if you have a Center for Independent Living in your area many of them have equipment refurbishing programs and then could give it to someone in need. CIL's are funded under the US Department of Education and their oversight comes from the Rehabilitation Services Administration in Washington DC. But, CIL's are all non-profit agencies!! Great resource!

Lions Club. Ours has a massive equipment program for chairs and stuff needed for medical use. Or, Cajun Pawnshop; was switching thru the channels and saw a guy riding one in there to sell.

There's a Society for Independent Living near me that would accept used powerchairs. Your dme provider may know of someone.

A few years ago I ended up dismantling my Quickie P200 and throwing it in a dumpster. I felt crummy about it but I couldn't store it anymore and I couldn't figure out how to get it to some one who could use it.

My current powerchair Invacare TDX-SP, has a broken right motor and there's a chance that insurance may get me a new chair instead of repairing it which would leave me with what to do with a broken powerchair. There must be organizations out there. I hope there are.

I donated one to the Shriners Hospital here in California, maybe you live close enough to this one to try:
Shriners Hospitals for Children® — Philadelphia
    3551 North Broad St.
