    Facebook

I'm bored, what are your thoughs re facebook?

A useful tool, but seems to be consuming too much of my time. Also it drives me nuts when someone you consider maybe not a close friend, but more than an aquainance un-friends you for no apparent reason... left wandering if I did something to offend them. Argh, shouldn't let it bother me.

Any other pet hates with fb?

I hate all the friggin game request even though you have stated many times you don't play. I block the games everytime someone sends me a game request but it still pisses me off.

I've never been to face book, won't be going to face book. I don't like any one or any thing having any kind of control over my personal information. I just don't need a social network outside of the people I know one on one. I don't lead that interesting of a life to share it on face book, and I don't think anyone else does either.

    All the best,

I'm on facebook, but only ever talk with maybe 5-10 of my 176 "friends." I use it mostly to enter contests.

I had an account I rarely used and i used to be very 'anti-fb', but since the accident i've met so many amazing people and it would be almost impossibe to keep up with everyone without it.

lol stumpy, the game requests are a nightmare, I wish there was a way to just dissable them.

I like it, if for no other reason than you can pick your own friends, and if you respond to a friend request that turns out to be a mistake a simple keystroke makes them disappear from your list. I have made many interesting contacts on fb, and can still have contact with some of the good people who have given up on CCC and no longer post here. I just never respond to the games requests because I don't have time to be doing that.

I am not on fb. When I tried to join a while back I tried to register my username and got caught in an endless loop that I could not get out of. At that point, I discovered there is no real person support. Since then, two of my family members have had their fb account hacked and the hackers caused some embarrassing incidents using the accounts to send out porn and spam to their friends. With these security issues and the personal info gathering problems they have had, fb is not something I want to be involved with. E-mail and Skype work well for keeping involved with family and friends. Just because of its size, fb is now a prime target of hackers.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to expose themself to the world, to others they know nothing about. Where would a lot of people be if there were no cell phones or computers. Sure, they might be handy but we got along in life before that. Anyone should consider being a very fortunate person if having just one true friend. No facebook for me.

I signed up to keep an eye on the our kids FB activity. I don't post a status or play games, but do check for, and send out birthday wishes. I found it useful only a few times when trying to get the word out for a good cause. CCC has become my time sucker!

The thing that cracks me up on FB is the hypocrisy of some. People that pretend on FB they behave one way, when in actuality, they behave the opposite in life.

Overall though, I think FB is a hoot! My Grandmother loved gossip and I think it's a shame she missed out!

I'm on there several times a day, it lets me keep in touch with old friends that I moved away from after high school or college as well as family I only to see every few years.

The one thing that is my pet peeve is when I try to start conversations and no one participates.
