I don't know what to make of this

This video shows a new way to get around with a chair?

Id rather get a ZX1. I've seen that before, and it looks HORRIBLE. Who wants that ginormous thing across their laps? And it looks like they have to lean forward to control it.

They should probably put a volume warning on that video. Damn! at the .49 second mark I almost fudged my pants. lol

Cool idea, but the styling looks ridiculous.

It would be difficult to work at a desk or to eat a meal.

That looks weird, to me. and the fact that you have to hold your arms up, both of them, and straight out, seems so difficult. I know for me that would be a huge issue. its so bulky - how would you get through narrow spaces? and like millard mentioned, how would you get close to a table or desk?

cool that people are coming up with new things but definitely better options out there.

That's exactly what I was thinking. The ZX-1 looks perfect in every way and this thing besides looking ridiculous and totally impractical - I couldn't use it. I can't lean forward like that. If I did it for a minute I'd be in pain for while. Plus, can you imagine being in public surrounded by this Star Trek Enterprise hull around you?

Clearly invented by someone who does not use a wheelchair for mobility. What a waste of time!

How do you do the following:
    • Sit at a table or desk?
    • Drive?
    • Get into or transfer to a toilet/bathroom?
    • Do a wheelie to get over a curb or step?
    • Load it into a car?

If you need a power chair, then there are much better designs. If you need power assist, there are also better and more usable products.

Yeah, too much design not enough practical. Now, if it turned into a hovercraft and that little Saturn ring rotated with lights......
