    Baclofen pump and breathing issues

    Hi guys,

I have had my Baclofen pump now for a year now and my Baclofen is up to 595. The tone in my right leg is still a 2 plus ( lots of tone). My Dr ups the Baclofen rate 10%higher every 3 wks but still I have not reached that "ideal" zone.

I have noticed that I am having trouble breathing. I am always out of breath just sitting around doing nothing, I find myself gasping for air. Is this due to my high level of Baclofen? Thanks so much for any help.

I did have a CT scan to make sure everything was ok with pump but have not had a dye test yet.

Hi Evonne - I have no idea, but I hope you figure out the breathing issues, that doesn't seem right.

    Dear Evonne
I am glad you are getting the patency of your baclofen pump checked with the dye test. Increasing the baclofen without significant spasticity improvement and difficulty breathing are concerning signs. I am glad you are getting follow-up. I look forward to hearing how the dye test turns out.
