Thread: Biomove for SCI

    Biomove for SCI

Who has tried this before SCI?

    http://biomove.com/

Is this helpful for SCI - complete and/or incomplete?

But i am not doing promotion for this product

Is electrical stimulation helpful for SCI - complete and/or incomplete, triggering motor and/or sensation improvement?

Is TENS therapy only for pain management, not for motor and/or sensation improvement?

The stroke is a cerebral event. In most cases the lower part of the CNS, i.e. the spinal cord is unaffected. The brain itself is affected, so the messages do not reach parts of the body because they are never sent - no transmission error! Hope my simplicism is OK, but we know that the brain does recover from some injuries better than the cord, which is the message carrier.

This post caught my interest as my son suffered a C5 injury + TBI. Brucker Biofeedback has been recommended for him but this is not available where we live. If this device had any chance of helping i would get it for him.
I found this blog by the manufacturer, which mentions a trial by the Shepherd Center on a spinal injury patient:

Would be interested to hear what the experts on this forum think of it.

The NEW Biomove 5000* is not only the best Stroke Rehabilitation system in the world but also the easiest stroke therapy device for use by the stroke survivor.

The Biomove 5000 is equally well suited for muscle rehabilitation therapy after
Spinal Cord Injury [SCI] and Cerebral Palsy (CP).
