    Camping

Hello. I am in need of some advice. My family has a travel trailer for travel and camping. I went this past week but it rained and got muddy is there any type of mat that I can use.

what difficulties did you encounter besides getting rained in? I camp, or have over the years. Im not sure if this year will work out for me though. there are adaptations to be made depending on the type of camping you do.

I use a regular air mattress, and a self inflatable sleeping pad from cabella on top of that for sleeping.

The trailer is fine its already been modified for me the problem is the mud outside getting on my wheels.

dont know about a floor mat.. typically I bring a pair of old tshirts and they become hand wipes. Just wipe the tires as you roll.. it's just a pain.

I just roll out old indoor/outdoor carpet reminants. In the chair its hard though because it rolls up when you turn sharply. If my tires get muddy camping or at home I get a bucket of water with a long handled boot brush. Just watch where you do this at when next to the camper so do it in a low traffic area. Also select a site that is grassy and at a high spot in the park so the water flows away or some places even have cement pads for trailers.

We cut 2 strips of ply wood to put outside the door. Transporting them in the travel trailer isn't too bad. Just leave them outside or under the trailer if they are not needed and then pack them back in when you leave.

knobby air filled tires are better in mud than the solid tires.
