    tube size

Does it really matter if I use the correct size tube in my tires? I have put some 50-540 on a set of wheels and I used some 24 x 1 3/8 tubes that I had on hand. Is there a down side to this? Do I need to get bigger tubes for these tires?

I got a flat the other day and replaced the tube the way you did and it works just fine!

I used some cheap walmart tubes(bell sports brand), they are 24" unversal 1"-2 1/2 " width and have had them for over a year with no problem

Cool did not think it should be a problem but wanted to check....The "universal" tubes seem to be harder to get into the tire, it is like they are just a little on the small size when it comes to diameter...
