I'm not judging anybody...sorry if anyone has taken offense to anything I said...Just merely telling my story. I can tell you my bowell program was never worth a shit (take it however you want). After about 3 flap surgeries I was persuaded to getting a colostomy. That and the SP catheter are two of the biggest changes Ive made to be independant.
As with landrover, I cant relate to nerve pain issues. For the last 2 years I've been bed bound about 80% of the time because of pressure sores. I still have my helpers come over though. I design things and I lay on a cot in the shop and supervise. Or lay in the barn while we work horses. I read somewhere that said "sitting in a wheelchair was the least of a para or quads problems"... I can definately relate.
