    Anyone tried snow monoskiing?

I'm thinking about trying it, it really looks like fun. I am wondering though what is it like on your body. Is there enough support in the chair and suspension that it's really more a like ride down than having to exercise a lot trying to steer?

What I'm wondering I guess, is it more like riding a chair downhill or riding a horse? I mean, do you need a lot of body-english to keep everything in control. That would wear me out.

    Thanks

I went to Breckenridge winter before last. It was amazing. I won't lie a little exercise is involved but you don't have to be a super athlete to enjoy yourself. I recommend getting a guide at Breckenridge and if you can get Patrick. The tough part is making sure everything fits right and he was brilliant when it came to that. It takes some time to learn how to turn and sharp turns do require a little more balance and practice. If you have the means to go do it!

I try mono skiing about 1-2 time a week

It is a lot of fun. It can take some time to learn and can be tiring when you are learning.

If you are in the bay area and want to drive to try it out, check out Disabled Sports USA Far West. http://www.dsusafw.org/

If you want to fly or drive a few hours further, you could try Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra (DSES). If you try DSES, let me know and I will ski with you if you want. http://www.disabledsportseasternsierra.org/
