I wonder if Dionne Warwick had any warning...

Personally, I think her screaming, out of control rendition of I Will Always Love You, from the movie The Bodyguard was the beginning of her end. May she rest in a peace that she didn't find in her lifetime.

I specifically said I think her performance of I Will Always Love You, from the movie The Bodyguard was screaming. Maybe it was the song itself, but for me, every time I hear it, I think it is too much out of control, loud screaming. I always just turn it off when I hear it on the radio. I was a huge fan of Whitney Houston in the 1980's, she had some great songs and arrangements. But like so many with her success and talent, she self imploded. Very sad.

    All the best,

That rendition of the Star Spangled Banner for the 1991 Superbowl --amazing and moving.

I like some of Whitney's songs but I lost interest in her since she stopped making music and being relevant. I'm more of a Beyonce fan. I think her best song was her Dolly remake I will always Love you. It is a bummer though she's gone.

Freaking 60 Minutes, Dateline and the Grammy's are supposedly having tributes tonight ... on a junkie who over-dosed when she had the time and money to get better ... I feel badly for the daughter she left behind.
Roses are red. Tacos are enjoyable. Don't blame immigrants, because you're unemployable.

As much as you might condemn the behavior, we all have loved ones suffering similar issues. She died; we don't know the facts yet, a little compassion. Watch her... incredibly cathartic performances.
