It is still a trial.
It is still a trial.
Jesus Vaqueroc replied to my query. Looks like Spanish ppl can get this treatment for free. As this is uses the patients own bone-derived & cultured MSC stem cells, it isn't a foreign substance and so it's questionable if the FDA can even get involved. Why isn't the US doing thus?
---Jesus >> Thank you very much.We have no experience with the laser treatment. Therefore, I can not advise you.As for our treatment, we work in a public hospital. Our treatment is totally free for beneficiaries of the Spanish public health system. The treat is not marketed
Me>>I am enquiring about your MSC stem cell treatment in Spain and whether it would be helpful to my SCI. Your 2-14 dermatomes recovery (av 6.8) for ASIA-A SCI people is impressive using MSC stem cells inject along the injury site.

Furthermore, would an additional 810nm low level laser treatment (LLLT) tbe useful to heal the associated injury site for MSC stem cell injection?
Juanita Anders suggests this provides rapid injury site healing in the spinal cord:

I'd be willing to go to Spain to solve this problem with such technology. Please reply on whether such experimental surgery is available and if so, at what cost.

So, is this treatment already being given in Spain to the Spanish patients?
Yes. Need clarification on this... My impression was that it's still in the middle of phase 2 and phase 3 but phase 3 hasn't started yet but soon will... I may be wrong because it's difficult for me to more precisely follow this trial from afar but that is what I thought from reading KIMs' posts and the APINME forum, maybe KIM can come and school me

Was anyone able to find out any more information on where this is at progression wise?
I could be wrong but I thought the word on this one is that it will be available to the more general public in 2020,boo. With that being said it's still going through the lengthy clinical trial process. I "think" phase 2 is over and currently in the process of being published, if I am wrong maybe KIM or Isildur will correct me

It won't be published until the Ph 2 trial is actually completed so they can then compile the data for publication. It has not been marked off as completed yet.
LINK
The Phase 1 safety study completion date was March 2015. The study results from that particular phase was then subsequently published 17 months later on August 18th 2016. It's impossible to predict the time frame for publication on the Phase 2 study that isn't scheduled to be completed until next month.
GRAMMY, I have the feeling that this question has been discussed before but I forget, if so
But what is the reason that it's so long between the completion date on a site such as listed on clinicaltrials.gov and the date in which the publication is actually available for all to see... Like I always used to look at the completion date listed on the clinicaltrials website and think: "ok, that is the approx date that we will hear news or results of such trial", but then I always end up feeling like a gullible doe-eyed sucker because the end date listed almost never correlates to getting information on the the said trial
