    Stem cell advances

Geron, Inc. will file IND for spinal cord injury as soon as next year. They have two human embryonic stem cell lines that first differentiate into neural progenitors, and then into neurons and oligodendrocytes. Their stem cells line were produced before Bush's ban and have been cleared for use by the FDA. They are stable and free of animal cells and viruses.

Stem Cells, Inc, is engaged in preclincal testing of its patented neural stem cells in a number of animal models for CNS disease including SCI.

What does this mean specifically? What is IND? How do I contact Geron? Internet search produced no info other than Menlo Park.

Investigational New Drug Application (IND) Process.

red 1 its a start but don't begin holding your breath yet

schmeky go look at the NASDAQ for Geron,

Doc. Young wrote a paper on the FDA and how it works you both should read it, for it would have answered your questions (except how to contact Geron).

    X, I hear ya.

I'm getting soft in my old age.

Schmeky and Cjo are like having two new blood hounds at work so, I throw 'em a bone now and then.

    Can't hurt, right?

If I'm a blood hound with a great sense of smell, would that make my autologous OEGs extra potent to regenerate my spinal cord??
