Thread: Arrrgh! Prostatitis recurrence.

  1. #1

    Arrrgh! Prostatitis recurrence.

Burning lower abdomen, AD sweating when my perineum, scrotum, and abdomen are palpated. I get a little relief when on my sides in bed. Sitting is not fun. Every time I move, I get a wave of AD. I am carrying a towel around to mop up the sweat. It reminds me of the several months I had a urethral catheter back in 1955. I am on Levaquin and ibuprophen. I will be getting a scan to rule out an abscess or something else. Again, I am subjected to treatment by guesswork. This is another one of those common, misery producing problems they know little about. This is not the way I wanted to start the new year out. Arrrrrghh! I am too old to cope with this shit! Why can't I just get PMS or something that goes away after a few days? lol

Maybe you should drag 2011 out of the trash can and start over! Seriously, I am so sorry you are going through this. I hope the Dr. discovers the cause or else it is one of those things that passes with time. One can always hope.

Certainly can relate to your condition, after dealing with it for 8 years and the bacteria (ecoli) became resistant had my prostrate removed as the pain was unbearable. Hopefully you can clear up the infection with a long course of a quinolone, it took 90 days of cipro for me. Unfortunately recurrence is common, and within two years or less I'd relapse. If I could have used Vetericyn back then I do wonder if I could have avoided the relapses.

Actually, she did palpate the area, and the hairs on my arm jumped up straight and within seconds beads of sweat were forming on my forehead. So much for your theory.

I know, I know. Just an angry old man striking out at anything and everything. I now have to face doing my income tax in this condition. Pain upon pain. I am about ready to call on Michael Jackson's MD.

all i can do is give you hugs from afar. taxes are indeed painful, can you not have someone else do them for you this year? there has to be free tax prep for those who are cool and old like yourself and no calling mj's md, we need to get you well, not dead. or else i'd have a sad.

instead, let me give you the anti-stress toolkit. easy to follow!
