    RDF,
The goal of Argo Medical is to get the unit low cost for Medicare and private insurance to pay for it. There are so many benefits to standing , I can not see why they wouldn't approve it. I can't imagine what a pressure sore costs to heal up , among many other SCI problems.
Peter, thanks again for posting the pictures.
    Best Regards,
    Joe

I am glad you like the pics. I owe it to Peter for posting them for me. The re-walk is amazing. As I said before, it at least gives us hope until they can put us back together. A Blessed Christmas season to ALL!!!

Are you part of a trial, Joe, at the VA?

    Yes,
RDF, I am in the trials at the VA.
    Peterf,
Argo's goal is to get the unit down to about fifty thousand for private insurance and medicare to pay for them. We will have to keep an eye on this company and see if it goes public. The share price will fly once they start cranking out hundreds of units or thousands at this price.
    Merry Christmas,
    Best Regards,
    Joe

How would they prevent pressure sores using this?

Oh good question xsfxsf!! Even with medicare only paying 80% of 50,000, thats still a nice chunk of change that I don't have .

The unit straps on your legs and there is a lower back brace. I don't know how you would get a pressure sore standing. It doesn't put any pressure on you butt. If you stand with this it is only positive. I haven't had any issues nor did anyone else in the clinical trials.
We will see when it gets approved by FDA what the total cost will be. Maybe the company will write off the difference from Medicare.
John Mayer and others are also donating and helping with this device.

You find a way. I've found that if I really want something I just start with the idea I can't do it, it's impossible and then I go ahead and start working towards it. You never know what can happen once you start your own momentum. Sometimes people and opportunities start showing up. My thoughts on the subject :-)
