@KofQ: Thanks so much for the recent video. I found the end comments very interesting. They're taking one of the scaffolds to the FDA next year that has "neural cell" specifically from MIT implanted in the scaffold that has chronic monkey running. Very promising. Maybe Frank can get us there! They sure are trying hard!

He appears to be the real deal. I really hope he is.

I cannot take anymore heartbreak............... please work. with safety trials on esc from geron this can happen. with cord blood trials this can work as well. I just cannot express the dreams and hope..I just cannot die this way........ I need a do over.........

@jhope: I think part of the heartbreak is some of the overhype that happens when therapies are being worked on. We need lots of therapies worked on! We need to learn a whole lot more about this particular situtation. What kind of injury was inflicted into the cords...how old is the injury...which cells were used...how much natural recovery happens in primates anyway? Is there just as much recovery with a scaffold or does the cell scaffold provide more? Tons of questions to be answered and results to be seen on humans. We'll know more as the time grows closer.
