    CONGRATULATIONS JIM BENNETT

    FOR COMPLETING HIS FIRST MARATHON!!!

Every Mile Raises Funds for Spinal Cord Injury Research

Cheered on by family and friends, and supporters of The Jim Bennett Foundation for Spinal Cord Injury Research, Jim tackled his first hand-cycle marathon. Months of training paid off as Jim finished the Atlantic City race in 2 hours, 34 minutes, and 48 seconds! Accompanying him in the race were his sisters, nieces, nephew, and friends, including Katie who came all the way from Texas! Together they raised approximately $12,000 for spinal cord injury research.

Previously hosting an annual dinner, the group decided that pledges to a marathon would mean a much higher percent of funds raised would go to support this critical research.

Jim now has his eye on the New York City Marathon and is being recruited for a half-marathon to be held at Rutgers in April 2012. Thinking about warming up your running shoes?!
