Oh SCI55, I am very sorry that you are injured and that life has gotten even more challenging for you and Mrs 55. Sending you a hug, a wish for healing and health, and a respite from bad luck.

    Hi again,
Just was telling NL about your situation. She told me she recently read about an new treatment for C. dif that has just been approved by the FDA. If yours is a particularly difficult case and the regular antibiotics are cutting it, you might want to discuss the break through medication with your doctor.

    All the best,

I have every faith that the strength and ingenuity that have served you and Mrs. 55+1 so well for all these years will enable you to ride this out.

I wish you both the very best of luck and fast healing.

You need to call SS asap and apply for a CD/ED Waiver. These are designed to keep you out of nursing homes. Through it, you can get the nursing and PCA help you and relieve your wife free of charge. The CD offers you the choice of agency help. The ED part allows you to pay someone through your CIL. Usually you're approved for atleast 30 or more hrs/week. However, your wife can not receive the pay.

GOOD LUCK!! I will be thinking of you both. Mend & heal quickly.

Very sorry to hear. I had thoughts similar to others have stated when I read your post, the same smarts and initiative that have gotten you this far will get you through this.

Thoughts are with you and Mrs 55.
