    Dragon and dates

I appreciate that the program knows to use words for numbers less than 10, but is there a way to tell it that when writing a hyphenated date it should use numbers? It seems to know to write December 3, but eight – six – 11 comes out like that. Does anyone know?

turn on numbers mode. to activate, say "numbers mode on", "numbers mode off"

another way is dictate the command "press" and the number you want. it types the number.

You can also use the command "numeral" before the number and it will put the numeric form instead of spelling it out. This way you don't have to switch the mode or stop typing to dictate an extra command. You can dictate this in the middle of all of your other dictation. For example, you could say the entire phrase:

"The current date is numeral eight hyphen numeral five hyphen eleven period"

    And it comes out:

    "The current date is 8-5-11."
