    need help with transfers

    Im a c6 and I am able to transfer to bed almost with no help but I cant get the sliding board under me far enough also scooting myself over in bed is difficult any tips?

    Wow Feisty, I would have never thought of that. I will do the same for Sarah. That is where some of her difficulty is too. Sarah still can not transfer by herself as well. This is a great way to help her get there.

    Don't forget to also Pledge transfer board at least once per week. Be careful on 1st transfers after Pledging, it's slippery. Also give thought to cushion cover being low friction but still breathable. Don't have any more dump than you need as transferring up out of a hole (dump) is hard. Satin sheets, great idea.

    if you go to Marshalls, or a linens store, you can usually find a set on sale for under 50 bucks, (like $35 or so apx) to try them out, then just pick up another set any time you have some extra coins if they work for you. Test run the pillow cases though, until you get the hang of it, they can be super all over the place.

    When I learned how to transfer and stuff, they were great in learning what worked. Once you get that figured out, regular sheets are no prob. (but I still have to hand it to you, the satin ones are my favorite anyway)
